Figure 3. Transfection with miR-15a, miR-16, and to a lesser extent miR-34a increases levels of drug-induced apoptosis. MPM cells were transfected with miRNA mimics or control (0.5 nmol/L) and were then treated with (A) cisplatin, (B) gemcitabine or (C) vinorelbine 24 h later (3 μmol/L-50 nmol/L). Tali Apoptosis assays demonstrated changes in cellular levels of apoptosis, late apoptosis/necrosis and death 72 h post-transfection. Data are the mean of 3 independent experiments ± SEM
