Special Issue Introduction
This special issue publishes articles on significant advances in the design and development of novel nano-carrier drug delivery systems, focusing on their application in overcoming cancer drug resistance. This Special Issue welcomes submissions on the following nano-carrier drug delivery system categories: i) novel development of nano-carrier drug delivery systems; (ii) image-guided drug delivery by novel and effective nanoparticles; and (iii) nanomedicine for the delivery of drugs; (iv) the specific drug delivery system for cancer stem cell targeted therapy; (v) the combination therapeutics of photothermal therapy/photodynamic therapy/chemodynamic therapy mediated by nano-carrier drug delivery; and (vi) the biocompatibility of nano-carrier drug delivery systems in the short and long term, (vii) the host response to nano-carrier drug delivery systems.
This special issue focuses on the basic research of designing principles, mechanism studies, and preclinical trials of nano-carrier drug delivery systems to overcome drug resistance. It includes disciplines as diverse as nanomedicine, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, preclinical therapeutics, and oncology. The Editorial Board welcomes and encourages the submission of innovative original studies, expert reviews, and communications on this topic that have broad applicability and significance to a diverse audience.
